Pierre Boulat

Fashion work – The 50’s

-

In 1953, Pierre Boulat opened a photo studio in Paris, the Penn studio, and began to photograph fashion. He worked exclusively for some of the major fashion houses and “went down to the street to photograph the models, which made beautiful gatherings of onlookers. »

Later he made numerous reports on Parisian fashion for Life, among which a great story on Yves Saint Laurent. After the closing of the magazine he continued, until 1980, to make photographs of the couturiers for People magazine.

For more pictures on Marc Bohan, André Courrèges, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Kenzo, Karl Lagerfeld, Thierry Mugler, Valentino and Yves Saint Laurent, go to the section “People”.
