Inside besieged Ramallah

-

In april 2002, reacting to a wave of deadly suicide attacks, Israel launched it’s biggest military offensive in over 20 years by reoccupying major cities in the West Bank and isolating Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat in his Ramallah headquarter. The Palestinian population of Ramallah live under curfew, only able to leave their homes every fourth day to get supplies, bury their dead or view the destruction wrought by Israeli tanks and bullets. Some 400 Palestinian men have been arrested, and dozens of Palestinians and Israeli soldiers killed.
